The synergistic herbal combination of Gluco-Fast reduces insulin requirement and average blood glucose (contains a polypeptide-p-insulin, with insulin-like effects which lower blood glucose by increasing glucose utilisation) as well as HbA1C. GlucoFast helps regenerate pancreatic beta cells and decreases capilliary permeability, thus preventing the onset of retinopathy. • GymnemaSylvestre - contains substances that decrease the absorption of sugar from the intestine. Gymnema may also increase the amount of insulin in the body and increase the growth of cells in the pancreas, where insulin is produced.

 

• Cinnamon - increases glucose metabolism about 20-fold and has been found to have "insulin-like effects". Cinnamon slows the emptying of the stomach to reduce sharp rises in blood sugar following meals and improves the effectiveness or sensitivity of insulin.

 

• Fenugreek - improves most metabolic symptoms associated with diabetes by lowering blood glucose levels and improving glucose tolerance.

 

• Berberine - decreases insulin resistance, making the blood sugar lowering hormone insulin, more effective. Increases glycolysis, the breakdown of glucose inside cells. Decreases glucose production in the liver. Slows the digestion of carbohydrates. Increases the number of beneficial bacteria in the gut. Berberine also reduces the HBA1C, triglycerides, LDL cholesterol and blood pressure.

 

• Capsicum - stimulates and improves blood circulation, which is crucial for diabetics especially in the lower extremeties.

 

• Ginseng - improves blood sugar control and HbA1C levels.

 

• Amla - has properties that can protect the body from the oxidative effects of high blood sugar. The same compound is also effective in preventing the insulin resistance caused due to a high fructose diet.
